LoveStruck Album- Song List

Song listing for the LoveStruck album. I may change the name of album…not sure yet. Three disks of 10 or 11 songs each are in this album.  They are roughly in chronological order – will need rearranging once I get them correct.  Also need to add ones i may have missed.

It’s time now to work on each one individually and step things up a notch.  Starting right at the beginning, with Blue Rose Star

DISK 1

I’ve had the chorus for this song for a while now…and the verses are coming to me now….it’s going to be the hardest song I’ve ever written, more so than any on the Love Struck album – the one that has/is giving me somewhere for healing and to channel my emotion, but not all of it comes from ‘being in love’ with Nick.    And so this song is very emotional for me.  It’s for my son – and it’s called ‘Sunflower Soul’…and I’m not sure which album I’ll place it into yet – probably ‘Little Blue Dot’, though it belongs on the ‘Bulldozers & Roses’ one.

I wrote a couple of songs many years ago, when I was about 24 years young.  And then life took over…this one was called ‘stay’.  I didn’t write it about anyone in particular. The words just kind of came to me without much effort, and then the melody.  And so I joined up with a couple of chicks I knew and we recorded my songs.  I named our ‘band’ LimeEyesLemonLips.

And after a couple of months it ended…I think I scared myself, also deep down believed I was never good enough and it kind of felt a joke.  This all happened during the break-up with my my son’s father, not long after my parents’ marriage fell apart – and so was born an even more emotional connection to music 😦 Hence stopping right there with the creative side of music, and sticking to orchestras and playing other people’s stuff.

This is what I remember so far. I know the chords and melody  🙂

Well this song is coming along very nicely….I’ve decided to strum it, adding the little riff bit while I play, and maybe enhance the riff as a solo with another guitar (once main part is recorded)

Hmmm,  New song.  Oh dear….This is officially the last song in the Love Stuck album.  Not saying it’ll be the last love song.  Just the final one in this album  🙂
