Just viewing the lyrics for this song hurts.  Not just because of letting go of ‘him’ the guy I fell for…but also letting go in general.  It’s time to work on it and get it right – try not to be too emotional (which of course is hard for me)

I love when a whole song comes to me completely…lyrics & melody together  🙂

I must dust the cobwebs off this song.  Need to get another electric guitar so I can break into my ‘rock’ tracks

10/06/18 – Rainy Sunday.  Need to work on this track.  I’ll just keep it simple & use open/muted/rhythmic chords to start with.  Can’t recall how I did it all that time ago when I wrote it

Wrote this one on the plane…needs tweaking

I’m going to make this into a track with spoken word cause it goes on forever.  Or take parts of it and make into a rap song 🙂

 

Rainbow Summit (Mountain Love Song)

I’ve let you wonder far too long about my imperfections & it hurts that I’m no Goddess…yeah it cuts me up so deep that I’m bleeding on the inside. Can’t help myself so I act up n strange & prob’ly got you bolting, but I’m the one in chains. Handcuffed and running… running from me, running from you. Heaven knows…running from us

There’s not a word to describe how it felt that very first moment, yeah cupid aimed hard & Love Struck. Titanic tipped the iceberg holding on believing. Well, that was then and this is how I still feel right now

Gotta let go though so hands up with faith & my feelings just keep getting stronger. Romeo n Juliet would know it…when you walked into the room you shook me all night long, electric blue. You were a lifetime maybe more in my dreams before – with no face you came & I felt you getting closer

Love story…finally I meet you. Chased you away again and again I’m still chasing now & I know you think it’s madness, but I just love you madly is all. Such a possibility – don’t even know you but I do know you’re perfect, and everything makes perfect sense now that you’re around.

Not dollars tho cause I don’t care too much for money, tho it would help if I could build a studio on the mountain top once I’ve climbed n peaked n make music n money n take you to the clouds above n feel that fresh air

Honey I can’t stand losing you but I’ll stand by you. We could find very own Milky Way & gaze at our Blue Rose Star. All night long, down town, I’d stand all night in the rain n hail….Man I’d walk through 15 000 feet of snow but I guess I gotta walk the talk

I’d give it all ’cause I already know.  Do you remember? Come hold me again & let me jog your memory, the sweetest thing, me & you too.  I know the way you think n calculate n never late & if it meant I’d never have to add it up again then we could be free at last, cause one and one makes two, yeah two of one & you n I both know it

Btw I’m no good with bling n glitz n fashion. And I’m not chasing diamonds – No way…You’re the gem in Lucy’s sky.  I’m just trying to get it from me to you, cause if I bottle it up like soft champagne there’d be fireworks on the inside.  Did I blow the cork already instead of our slow journey there?

I gotta get a message to you cause you speak my language. It’s kinda like a cross between polished like you n French n Mozart & Pink n God knows what. Math n music coded gold n sparks while we sip on it – flaming hearts gripping it

No one gets me.  Oh no, no one gets me but you.   On the same page, in the same team… Pretty please can I knit you a scarf in our colors, and would you wear it?  Rainbow pastels camouflaged grey on an empty canvas, tho you said you owe it to me that night after we played out on the corner of that streetcar…such desire & I’m still up there. Never been so happy with you n your sunshine eyes n heavenly smile n those old Beatles records

Following week I was weak too, yeah burnt out.  You ran away & I had to stay but not what you’re thinking

Been searching all my life n you are the gold n arch Rainbow Summit, out n about diamond soul, picture of you red tie sweet n sexy natal star. And baby I’m no one to figure but you are the one – You are everything

We’d be dynamite you know.  Is it too early, too late? I have vocals/melody for chorus, which is the singing and then the verses are ‘rap’, if you wanna call it that.
